Pop sensation Lady Gaga will have a busy summer touring and supporting her upcoming Remix CD. The multiple-platinum singer will perform a couple of arena dates in Canada, including June 28 in Montreal, July 11 in Toronto, August 23 & 24 in Vancouver and August 26 in Edmonton. Along the way, on May 4, she'll release the Canadian version of her 17-track Remix CD.
The Remix CD was originally released in Japan in March, but the success of her Fame Monster CD and having the jump from theatre to arena act, has prompted the CD to be released in the rest of the world. The 17-track album will feature an eclectic mix of artists reinterpreting songs from Gaga’s The Fame Monster LP. The Remix will feature Pet Shop Boys, Passion Pit and, in a move that’s unexpected but not totally unbelievable, Marilyn Manson.
The album also features song reworkings by Stuart Price, Monarchy and Alphabeat, the latter of whom recently supported Gaga on her Monster Ball UK jaunt
The Canadian version will have the same cover as the Japanese release, however, the UK version will have a totally different cover.
Gaga's debut CD The Fame has achieved 3X Platinum status in Canada, for sales of more than 240,000 copies, while her singles Poker Face and Just Dance have reached 6X digital download status for 240,000 downloads each.
